Work by DG EAC on digital competences/ ICT as an enabler of innovation in E&T

- Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council (December 2006) on key competences for lifelong learning

- Commission Staff Working paper : The use of ICT to support innovation and lifelong learning - A report in progress (2008) together with statistical annex

- Work by the ICT cluster under Education and Training 2010 e.g. "Compendium of good practice. Cases of e-learning" selected by the ICT Cluster and edited by the Danish Technological Institute and some policy papers on Digital competences.

- European-wide study on use and impact of ICT in primary education (STEPS). Final report.

Work by DG EAC/DG EMPL on New SKILLS for new Jobs

- Cedefop forecast of skills demand, used in the Communication on NSNJ

- Cedefop forecast of skills supply, released in June 2009. It provides data on participation in the labour market and education achievement up to 2020 by broad categories (high qualification, medium qualification, low qualification).

- The Agora conference which took place last June discussed Cedefop work, but also many other relevant subjects for NSNJ: papers and videos are available on the website.

- The studies on skills needs in 18 sectors (including the iCt sector), using qualitative methods (focus group, interviews with experts of the sectors) have been released this summer:
